The Routine

You do not need eleven steps. Most of what gets sold as a separate step is a moisturizer with a different label and a higher price. Here is what actually works, and the order it goes in.

Morning

1

Cleanse

Hydrating Cleanser on damp skin, massaged in for about thirty seconds, then rinsed. In the morning this is mostly about removing the oil your skin produced overnight, so you do not need to scrub.

2

Hydrate

Oil-Free Moisturizer while your skin is still slightly damp. This is your base layer. It also carries SPF 25, which covers you on days you are indoors, at a desk, or driving.

3

Protect

BareScreen UV Gel, last, every single morning. Two finger-lengths for face and neck. Wait a minute before makeup. Reapply every two to three hours if you are outside.

Night

Cleanse, then moisturize. That is it. No sunscreen at night, and no need to add a fourth product because someone on Instagram told you to.

If you have been outside all day or worn makeup, cleanse twice: once to break everything down, once to actually clean the skin.

The question everyone asks

The moisturizer has SPF 25. Why do I need the sunscreen too?

Because they do different jobs.

SPF 25 in a moisturizer is a floor, not a ceiling. It is useful on a day you barely leave the house. But you apply moisturizer in a thin layer, and SPF is only as strong as the amount you put on. Applied at moisturizer thickness, that 25 is realistically closer to 10.

BareScreen is applied thickly, deliberately, and reapplied through the day. SPF 40 with a PA+++ UVA rating. That is what protects you on a commute, on a rooftop, in a car with the sun on one side of your face for an hour.

Think of the moisturizer as your everyday base and BareScreen as your armour. If you are going outside, wear both.

Mistakes that cost people results

  • Not using enough sunscreen. The single most common one. Two finger-lengths for face and neck. If a 30g tube lasts you six months, you are using about a fifth of what you need.
  • Never reapplying. Sunscreen applied at 8am is not protecting you at 4pm. Every two to three hours if you are outdoors.
  • Skipping sunscreen on cloudy or winter days. UVA passes through cloud and glass. Pigmentation does not take the winter off.
  • Over-cleansing. Twice a day is enough. Washing your face five times because it feels oily makes it produce more oil.
  • Changing everything at once. Give a new routine four to six weeks before deciding it does not work.

Get all three and save. The complete set is Rs. 4,200 instead of Rs. 5,150, and delivery is free.
